Willing to activate multiprocess function in my firefox but i was blocked by addon x-notifier 3.5.23 ( i'm a heavily user of it) wich is not compatible with multiprocess
What do the check boxes for "X-notifier window" and "X-notifier sidebar" do? I don't noticed any differences whether checked or not. But I'm using Pale Moon, so maybe they don't work correctly with it.
Today both Chrome and Opera browsers updated to 3.5.23 but Firefox prevents installation since the new iteration is not yet 'authorized'. I complained to them through feedback: this is the opposite of a security feature by delaying improvements to an add on provided by a trusted source.. Perhaps more complaints would soften their resolve to persist with their sludgy process for reviewing add on updates.
I had my entire X-notifier database wiped clean on an update of Firefox v48.0.1 last night (24 August 2016).
When I elected to install the new Firefox update I was presented a window asking IF, I wanted to ( I do not remember the exact wording) erase, eliminate, rebuild .. however it was worded, it worried me. I did not want to lose my very long list of emails in my database!! The only option was to accept or Cancel Install. I cancelled then set about looking to see if there was a comment - somewhere -anywhere!! - about this issue. I foun nothing.
I've been checking six Gmail, five Yahoo!, and one Hotmail account for years. For some weeks now, X-notifier will "not check" one or several randomly. Forcing a 'check now' may or may not check the missed email account as will the next cycle, or reloading the browser.
In older versions, there was a button/icon you could add to your main toolbar and see X-notifier. I am only seeing the status bar icon and it's not displaying when I go to Menu > Customize. Where is the X-notifier icon?
This is on a new Firefox install with default settings and this add-on installed. What happened to it?
