Scripts Not Accessible on Firefox Since 2019-May Certificate Date Snafu

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Ever since the snafu Mozilla created in early 2019-May with the certificate expiriation date issue I have not been able to get X-notifier to work properly on Firefox Quantum V.66.0.3.  I seemingly have successully reinstalled it numerous times. However, on the Options screen (see below) the Scripts button does not appear, and the loaded scripts list is completely blank.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled X-notifier numerous times, including closing the browser and rebooting the computer during some of the attempts.

Does anyone know what might be causing this and more importantly how to resolve this problem?  Thanks!

XN disabled by Firefox

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Since today XN could not be verified by Firefox and therefor Firefox has disabled XN.

When i try to download the newest (or other) version of XN I receive message "Download failed. Please check your connection."

What can be the cause of this issue ?
I've about 20 email boxes and would we glad if XN works as good as before.

probelm checking emails (gmail)

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

was having some issues logging into one of my accounts, kept on giving me an error page and telling me to try again (second time it would load) so l decided to clear cookies, sadly that lead to x-notifer not logging into my accounts at all.

l can still get in to my accounts, but l cant do it from the toolbar any more, it wont even notify me which is the whole point of the addon!! any help would be appreciated in getting the addon to work again (or recommendations for an addon that still works).

Has access to this site

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Hi,

I have just noticed that if I hover over the X-notifier icon in Chrome, it displays (as it has always done) a list of unread emails, but now has the line "Has access to this site" at the bottom of this list.

I have not seen, or rather not noticed this before. Does anyone know what it means? What has access and to which site?

I have recently upgraded Chrome, which was running on a fairly old version, so maybe it is a Chrome thing.

Hotmail CHAOS

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Hotmail is a whole chaos for about 2 weeks ( I have 8 mail addresses on hotmail):

- xn is "checking" every account just in 0,5 seconds - seems like it  can't ckeck the mailboxes

- no input-mailbox notifications on xn (spam-box: yes, sometimes), although there are NEW mails!

- on first few tries i can't login to any of my mail-accounts via xn, always a hotmail-message like "log on to your account" (via hotmail itself) is displayed.
If i change for the 3rd or 4th time to another account on xn THEN the mail-account -that i tried to open before- will be displayed...

- need 5-6 tries before i can open via xn a hotmail-mailbox of an account

- sending mail often fails, because xn logs me (automaticly after ca. 45 sec) out of the account. Lucky if 1/2 of the written mail is saved as  draft.
But often xn does not sent a mail message at all (although it seems like) and ALL has gone.
Writing  the mail first with editor like notepad and than copy it to xn is save way not to rewrite mails 10 times...

I use xn/webmail notifier for decade, because it's the best proggy i know for years.
I wonder if that whole buggy behaviour can be be fixed in the future? Or has the author quitted support?
Or is there some other alternative webmail programm that works with hotmail/outlook.com?

Regards

Problems with Outlook and Live notifications

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Hi,

I have added 5 Hotmail accounts (2 @hotmail.com, 2 @outlook.com and 1 @live.com) inX-notifier. However, it shows notifications for the 2 hotmail only but not for outlook and live accounts. I have to manually login each time on outlook and live accounts. I have been facing this problem for more than 6 months. I tried on latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Brave browsers in Windows 10 64-bit pc, cleared cache and cookies, reinstalled browsers but same problem in all 3 browsers.

Here is the screenshot of the problem.

Do I need to edit anything in settings of outlook and live accounts? I did check settings in them but did not find any problem. Please help.

Thanks.

XN 4.2.11 not checking default Gmail account

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I have XN 4.2.11 in Firefox 65.0.2 checking 8 Gmail accounts. A few weeks ago, Suddenly it stopped checking my default account, yet it still checks the other 7 just fine.
Then there was the update to XN 4.2.11 and I was hoping that would fix it, but it only changed it from being red all the time to it's normal colour; as if it's being checked, but it still usually doesn't show any new mail, or sometimes it'll show 1, even though there can be dozens of new messages in my inbox.

I have tried completely removing the account from XN, and re-adding it, but nothing changed.
I changed which account is set as default, and now ALL Gmail accounts are RED.
I'm at a loss at what to try next...
Any advice?
TIA

X-notifier Only Rings Once

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

On FF 65.0 with XN 4.2.11 and Yahoo Mail, when I receive an email, XN will ring once - and that's it. I have both check intervals set to 1 minute. Is this normal behavior for XN? If not, then what do I do to get it to ring at the already set intervals until I finally open the new mail? When I first started using XN on an earlier FF, I thought that it would ring at the interval set in the OPTIONS dialog. I used to use Yahoo Mail Watcher (which DID ring at the set interval), so I may be confusing this with XN. Oh, how I long for the FireFox of old.
