Hotmail CHAOS

By Max5150 , 7 April 2019

Hotmail is a whole chaos for about 2 weeks ( I have 8 mail addresses on hotmail):

- xn is "checking" every account just in 0,5 seconds - seems like it  can't ckeck the mailboxes

- no input-mailbox notifications on xn (spam-box: yes, sometimes), although there are NEW mails!

- on first few tries i can't login to any of my mail-accounts via xn, always a hotmail-message like "log on to your account" (via hotmail itself) is displayed.

Having anomaly, though...

I have three Microsoft-based accounts... Hotmail, Outlook.com, Live.com ...and in both Firefox and Chrome, only my primary (hotmail) is showing an account icon (which means it's been checked, I believe) and a new email count.
I have to click the other account(s) then hold Shift and click the account to force a new email check...  to get all three accounts to show their account icon and mail counts.
I shall note this to the developer.

Same here - BUUUT  "i am the only one"....
The Loudmouth of the board seems to KNOW ALL aka NOTHING about bugs, but he thinks USERS are "only telling stories"....

If I make a BUG REPORT in a forum then it is not cause i am having too much days off...

But OK - THERE IS NO MORE DEVELOPER for this app.
A chinese dude - maybe the communists in his country had him murdered for his app.
Seems to be normal in this SHIT COMMUINISM COUNTRY CHINA.
Hope someone drops lotsa A-Bombs on this piece o shit-country.

Inaccurate

South Korea, dude.  This app is maintained in his spare time... he is very busy at his main job in the medical field. So...
I recommend you find another app... or be patient. This is what we all do when there's some glitch usually caused by the email providers changing their login process.  Every time, the developer either fixes the problem by adapting his app to the new email login process or tells us he can't, for whatever reason... like programming tools are too limiteed for how the email provider changed the login, etc.
This is donationware... and lots of people don't donate.  So we wait for the developer to have the time to fix it when there's a problem.  If you can't wait... then you'll need to find another app or use the main hotmail/outlook.com/live.com webpage.
I'm going to wait.

Hotmail

My one account is working in Opera and Chrome: X-notifier logs in successfully.
But it is not working in Firefox 68 beta: X-notifier fails to login (also after clearing cookies) and does not work after manual login.

Three accounts seem to be working both FF and Chrome

My three hotmail/outlook-based accounts seem to be working in both FF and Chrome.
I read an email in each account and reChecked for new email... the counters went down by one.
I did have to delete one account (restart browser) and recreate it, to get it working properly again, but it seems like only my last logged in account will go bold black with new email, although I'm getting proper counts... my two other accounts are bolded for unread email but gray.

Login to your hotmail account

Login to your hotmail account manually.

You may see 'Don't lose access to your account' page.

X-notitifer does not work because of this unusual page.

Once you click 'No thanks', this page will not show up again.
