X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Chrome has disabeled it and says it does not follow best practices. Is this being worked on?

Message From Chrome

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I'm gettihng a messge in the addons that x-notifier will soon be unavailable for Chrome. Is this something Chrome is doing, or are you not continuing it anymore?
It will be a shame to lose it because it has been the mail app I have used in multiple browsers for 11 years, and I'd miss it.
Thanks for the work you've done on it all this time, and I hope i can keep using it.
Cheers

XN-forums Script serving X-notifier 4.x for Chrome

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

You might have noticed the XN-forums script stopped working in july 2022. That's simply because the URL changed (/dp0/ instead of /dp/).

You can download the fix here: XN-forums Script
(Left click the link above, ignore (x) the offer to register for Dropbox and use the download button)

Just add it as external script. It will automatically replace the included script with the same name.

GmailX Script serving X-notifier 4.x for Chrome

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I can offer my solution for Gmail Primary Inbox Only notification, but choose to do so by adding a separate (renamed) Gmail script. Because I don't want to cause a conflict with the XN package included Gmail script... for certain XN users.

This script is named GmailX. After download:

  1. Open the Scripts interface in XN Options by clicking the Scripts button and Add the GmailX script.
  2. Uncheck the checkboxes of all your Gmail accounts presently in your X-notifier list (the 2 scripts cannot function simultaneously)
  3. Add your first XN GmailX account:
    - Select your default XN (main) Gmail account
    - Select the GmailX script from the Scripts dropdown and Add the XN GmailX account. It will show at the bottom of the XN account list. (You can move it up in order to keep things tidy)
  4. Click the Save button
  5. You can add your other Gmail accounts the same way.

You can download it here:  GmailX Script
(Left click the link above, ignore (x) the offer to register for Dropbox and use the download button)

Once tobwithu offers his Gmail solution, you can easily readdress it (by rearranging the checkboxes in the accounts list) and delete the GmailX script. (This will delete all GmailX configured XN accounts)

Can't open mailboxes from the top menú in Chrome

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Hi,

I don't know if it's because of last update or Chrome but I can't open my emails from the X-notifier Neo menu. It still warns me of new emails and the popup message will show (and will open the email if I click on that one) but when I click on the mailbox name from the top X-notifier Neo menu, it will do nothing. I am using last versions of Chrome and X-notifier Neo under Ubuntu 22.04.

Thanks for your work with the extension and hope this helps

Signing out of Google

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Apparently starting today - every time XNotifier tries to check my Gmail, it auto-signs me out of Google (and I have to log back in to Google Mail and Google Calendar).

I'm using Firefox 112.0.2

V4.2.21 not checking hotmail on Firefox 112.0b6

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I've had this issue with X-notifier on Firefox where it doesn't check my hotmail correctly, but I'm able to log onto my mail through the XN button-menu. It scans every 10 minutes but stays red. I've been having this issue for about a month.

Anyone have any news from the developer on if or when this might be fixed?
