Firefox 57 (x64) with XN 4.1.5

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Hello folks,

I am having an issue still with XN addon.

  1. Recently I made a fresh installation on Windows 10 (x64) Enterprise eddition.
  2. Installed fresh Firefox 57 (x64) and had NOT MADE any change to Firefox. So I was using with default settings with Tracking protection enabled ONLY in Private browsing.
  3. Installed XN 4.1.4 and was not able to add my accounts from neither provider.
  4. That's it! :(

A little bit later came out XN 4.1.5 version, so the story continues as:

  1. Removing/unistalling the (old) version of XN 4.1.4
  2. Installing XN 4.1.5
  3. Enabling/disabling Tracking protection
  4. Now I can use my all email accounts but they are RED and not checking.
  5. That's it again! :(

Any advice how to solve this issue?

Thanks!

v4.1.4 unreadable menu with Windows High Contrast Theme

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Legacy version of xnotifier would follow the system colors so there was no problem reading any of the menus with Windows High Contrast. New version however, does not follow the system colors for the texts, so they remain black while the background turn black, and therefore you can;t read anything in xnotifier settings or menu.

A fix would be much appreciated.

Is there any way to find my passwords since FF does not save them anymore?

Forums

Chrome
XN v.4.1.4

I know this is a redundant question and I did search, but found old answers that aren't relevant. I stopped using FF about V.55, because it is just too messed up now. Switched to Chrome.

I had an old copy of my PWs from before FF stopped automatically saving them, but it is missing a few, and I can't remember them. I don't want to have to change them...yet again (Gmail just made me change them for some reason I cannot fathom.)

Is there anywhere these PWs are stored on the computer so I can find them? TIA for any help you can give me.

X-notifier no longer working with Firefox 57 (64-bit)

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

After updating Firefox to version 57, all 3 of my email accounts are red. (2 Gmail, 1 Yahoo)  Clicking on them will successfully take me to my email accounts manually but it will no longer indicate new messages or allow me to run Check Now.  Everything was working fine in 56.0.2 before the update.  Tried reinstalling x-notifier, running a cleanup with CCleaner, rebooting, nothing.  I've quite enjoyed this add-on for some time now and hope someone knows how to get it working again.

Aol times out while typing email

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

First off I want to say I have been using X- Notifier for about 5 years and I LOVE IT.

Just recently I started having a problem with my AOL emails.  I have 2 AOL accounts and while I am typing out an Email I think X-Notifier logs me out so it can check my Email in my other AOL account.

Then when I get ready to send the Email I am typing I end up becoming " logged out" and the Email I am working on can NOT be sent.   The page freezes and I get a pop up saying that I am no longer logged in.

I have my X-Notifier setting  to check one Account every 5 minutes and the other is set for every 10.

The Email I am typing has only been open 2 minutes and when I go to send it and I can NOT because I am no longer logged into that account :(

Then instead of  AOL saving the Email I just typed it actually deletes it and I have to start over and hope I can type really fast and beat X-Notifier checking the other account so I don't get looged out whiile typing a new Email :( :( :(

My work around has become everytime I type a new Email I rt click COPY it  so  when I get "logged out I have a copy of it. So then I have to open an new Email and start over then I just RT click paste and hit send ASAP and I beat the time it take to get logged out.

What a hassle but it sure beats retyping the whole Email from scratch again.

My question is what changed in X-Notifier that is causing the time out problem?

I was hoping I could just change my setting for when both accounts check for new Email but that doesn't seam to work and there is something in the script telling X-Notifier to log me out of one account so it can check for new Email in the other account.

Looking forward for a cure thanks.

Happycamper :)

Multiple Hushmail accounts in different tabs at the same time

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I finally dumped firefox because of the stupid automatic update which cause to upgrade to the newest stable version, now not supporting flash plugin anymore.  And anyways chrome is now faster (at least in my opinion). So I switched to chrome (in incognito mode) and now also using the newest x-notifier version 4.1.4 on chrome 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) Built on Ubuntu.

I am not sure if this a problem coming from x-notifier or chrome, but now i cannot be logged in multiple Hushmail accounts in different tabs at the same time, while it always been possible in firefox through x-notifier.  X-notifier seems not to be able to log in anyways when I click to open a tab and view unread emails.  if already logged in another account before, it will remember (even if tab was closed).  If any other tab is already opened on hushmail, it will use it instead of opening a new one.

So anyways, the short story : I always need to log out, and log in manually in the one I need.

The only thing that is working : showing the number of unread emails for multiple accounts.

The hushmail script is the recent 2017 version.

I am not sure about gmail, yahoo and other email providers, I did not have time to test.

I am not sure of what version of x-notifier I was using before, but not the most recent for sure.   I notice a lot less features in 4.1.4 ??? what happened ?

Does version 4.1.4 work properly with latest Firefox 57 ?

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I keep getting prompted continually to download Firefox 57 Beta.  I don't want to do it if there will be any issues with the latest X-Notifier.

I have about 6 different Yahoo and Hotmail email accounts.  Although I seemed to have lost one of the features I really liked in the latest X-Notifier update (which was to have my account email names all show on my desktop in a "toolbar") X-notifier is a super great add-on and I don't want to mess anything up by updating Firefox.  Especially since this FF update is still in Beta.

Is there still possible to support IMAP?

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Is X-notifier still have chance to support IMAP anymore?

It seems that starting from 4.x, IMAP support is dropped.  If X-notifier cannot supports IMAP anymore, is there any other firefox addon can do the same on IMAP account and compatible with FF 57?

Thanks!
