Problem with Yahoo

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Hello, I'm using FF 56.0.2 and XN 4.1.8. I have some questions.

1: They now don't open each account in separate tabs anymore? The ID just changes in the same tab

2. I have added 3 Yahoo accounts to it. The 3rd one works properly but the 2nd one not. If I click the 2nd account, it will reload and show my 1st account instead. How to fix this?

Appreciate any answer. Thanks!

X-notifier doesn't load Yahoo mails

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Hello there,

Since a few days, X-notifier doesn't load messages for yahoo mail. The "Yahoo" label is black, like if it considered the mailbox available but with zero mail inside (compare to the red for the mailbox completely unvailable), even when there are unread mails in it.

I use X-notifier 4.7.1 and Firefox 57.0.1, btw, and with my others accounts on Gmail and Hotmail, I don't have any problem.

Thanks in advance for your help,

PS : my first langage isn't English, so I apologise if my message isn't clear enough. Don't hesitate to ask me to precise the problem if needed.

Twitter appears newly intolerant of rapid checking for new posts

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Just a note...
While I test various accounts or problems, I often hit X-Notifier 'Check now' (or restart my browser)... which causes XN to check all accounts, and this appears to check Twitter too much in a short period of time, because I then see that Twitter stops being checked and upon clicking the account to sign in, I will be presented with a page informing me that the account has been locked for possible bad behavior.
- If this happens, then you have to verify that you're you/want it unlocked by clicking through a couple checks and entering a phone number or email to receive a code to enter to unlock your account.

Just FYI.

Hotmail quirk, X-n 4.1.7 & Firefox 57.0.1 x64

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Tobwithu,

Thank you for sharing your work for all these years & putting in the new work to accomidate the Firefox WebExtension API changes.  I find your add-on quite helpful.

I am using X-n 4.1.7 & Firefox 57.0.1 x64 on Windows 7 x64.  I have configured Firefox to clear my cookies & cache when Firefox is closed.  I've noticed that the check of my hotmail accounts fails when Firefox is first opened.  If I click one of the accounts I am taken to the login page, https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=13 ....  This creates cookies for 3 domains, live.com, login.live.com, & outlook.live.com.  I do not need to login & can close the tab.  After the login page is visited X-n can check my hotmail accounts without issue.

I didn't see this issue posted elsewhere & I suspect most people are not clearing cookies on close as I am.  I can reproduce this issue in a new Firefox profile and manually adding (not importing) a few hotmail accounts to X-n.  Let me know if there is additional inforation I can provide.

Thank you again for sharing your work.

Cookie Exceptions - what am I missing?

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

So I am running x-notifier 4.1.7 on Firefox 57 (64bit).

I have found that if the "Accept third party cookies" is set to anything except "Always" then x-notifier does not poll hotmail (shows as red in the list).

I have tried adding http://xnotifier.tobwithu.com, outlook.live.com, outlook.live.com and hotmail.com as exceptions, but this has made no difference.

Is there anything else I should try adding, or is this a problem with Firefox's exception rules?

Great add-on BTW, many thanks!

XN has suddenly stopped working in Chrome

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

It was working all day, now it won't check Gmail. Hotmail seems to be o.k. I uninstalled & reinstalled to make sure I have the latest version, but no joy. The FF version is working fine.

X-Notifier reaches "myaccount.google.com" instead of Gmail

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I just installed another browser - Pale Moon (FireFox-fork) and installed X-Notifier, which works on FireFox fine.
Something which may help: I googled the problem - and found someone who had the same thing happening. Here's his solution, which I tried to follow; but it didn't work. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/xnotifier/reviews/768498/

New Mail.com script working...

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Just a report that the new mail.com script is working for my three mail.com associated accounts...
mail.com, usa.com, myself.com ...on current Chrome release with X-N version 4.1.4 (and on my old Firefox 56 with X-N version 3.5.23).

Hotmail (outlook.com) stopped working in 4.1.5, is working on 4.1.4

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I have separate machines and both are running X-Notifier with the same settings. Today I noticed that one version is running 4.1.5 of the add-on, and on it my Hotmail account isn't working (red text) and when the profile is clicked it takes you to Bing.

On the workstation with 4.1.4 installed, it works correctly, and clicking the profile takes you to the email account.

Both workstations are running FireFox Quantum (57.0) 64-bit.
