X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

I love this addon but the last few days it is having an issue. Every minute I see the new email notification but there is no new email. I think it is checking for new email every minute because I told it so, and then reporting that I have 3 "new" emails that I am keeping unread until I can deal with them.

Normally it doesn't do this...it just alerts me when there is a brand new email, not one sitting as unread. Anybody else seeing this or know how to fix it?

fyi: Version 3.5.6 isn't compatible with Tab Mix Plus (0.4.1.x) . Tabs can not be closed. Version 3.5.5 doesn't have this problems.

I'm on Cyberfox 36 portable and the x-notifier icon does not show.  When I try to go into the add-ons manager and click on options, it freezes the browser and I have to shut it down via task manager. 

ETA: got options to open, but it seems to need scripts and I downloaded two, but can't get them to add. I never had to add scripts before.  I really need to get this to work.

I just recently reinstalled X-Notifier 3.5.5 and set the Default Check Interval at 1 minute. The audible and visual alerts take anywhere from five to ten minutes to sppear or be heard. What's wrong? Thanks.

I've been using X-notifier on both my desktop PC running Windows 7 and Firefox, and a Windows 8 laptop and Firefox, have set up my mail.com account and it had been working until yesterday.  Neither computer will read the mail.com account.  I have not changed my password or changed any FF settings.  Please help.

I do not understand why the script done by Laurène BARRAUT does not behave the same way on my portable than on my desktop.

On desktop, it works allright.

On the portable, it does not watch for incoming mails and when I click on the name, it does not go to the account but on the login page of Zimbra ????

X-Notifier 3.5.5, Firefox 36.0 (not 36.0.1), have one Yahoo! Mail account and one Gmail account. X-Notifier can no longer login and check the mail in my Yahoo! Mail account. I can login manually. Tried deleting cookies, re-installing - nothing. :(

Whenever I try to enter my GMail account using Firefox 35.0.1 I keep getting the followeing message "The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I can still access Gmail with Chrome, though...

QQmail script stopped working for a couple of months. Could any one kindly fix it? Thanks.

why does xnotifier open a new tab when I click on the icon that has the number of emails that were sent to my email address, it did not used to do this and I don't know what to click on to stop it.
