X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Yahoo Issue

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I have noticed that X-Notifier for Chrome performs differently than it does in Firefox. I have no issues with it in Firefox, however in Chrome this is the problem.

Starting with version 3.3.12, 3.3.13, and 3.3.14. I have 3 Yahoo accounts, when I am notified of email in more than one of the accounts at the same time, the counter does not reset when checking the second account. In fact as soon as you click on the second account to read your mail, it logs in to that account and X-Notifier will "Notify" you again that you have mail in the account you just logged into and the counter does not reset. Only after clicking on the same account again does the counter reset. None of these issues are present in the Firefox version.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Been trying this for days...

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I've been searching for the solution for days, but nothing yet.

I'm using Chrome for Mac Version 34.0.1847.76 beta, with the X-Notifier found at chrome-extension://cdfjbkbddpfnoplfhceolpopfoepleco/options.html (I couldn't say which version it is, but as I redownloaded it today, I assume it must be the latest...)

Anyway, Gmail and Yahoo mail notification is working fine, but the built-in Hotmail script isn't working for ***@msn.com and ***@outlook.com email address.

When I click on the notifier in the toolbar, the four emails appear, Gmail and Yahoo are black with the logos, but Hotmail (***@msn.com) and Hotmail (***@outlook.com) appear either greyed out or red, depending on which one was clicked on last. When clicked on, each address logs in and the correct page is shown.

I cannot for the life of me work out what's going wrong - even when I activated Google's and Yahoo's two-step authentication, it carried on working after I entered a new verification code. I have already tried the usual suspects - uninstalled and reinstalled the notifier, deleted the caches, logged out and logged in to all my email accounts.

Please can someone guide me in the right direction to fix this?

does not work for Yahoo Japan Mail on Chrome after updated

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

It has worked well until updated Ver.3.3.13 on 2014-03-25.

I know it still works well on Yahoo.com mail, but not works on Yahoo.jp mail.

Is there any solution?

I am sorry for poor English.

Works poorly with yahoo accounts

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Emailed the creator of this app several times and to date no solution has been gotten. The responses I have gotten were to send him the logs but no instructions on how to do so and no instructions on where to find logs at. This app has been an ongoing problem from day one that I added it 2 yrs ago. Specifically, when I click on a yahoo mail account, it will open a mail account in yahoo other than what I clicked on e.g. 2 yahoo mail accts in settings... joeb@yahoo.com and janeb@yahoo.com, c;lick on janeb and it opens joeb. I have to go to options and disable one yahoo acct in order to check the other remaining acct.

Gobbledegook attached to name

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Somehow a page of  gobbledegook has been attached to the name of my X-notifier in the extensions part of Chrome (Version 33.0.1750.117 m). Even when I try to uninstall (and reinstall) my uninstall attempt is thwarted because the box containing the name is so long it extends below the bottom of the page, so I cannot confirm the uninstall. Furthermore even though I've now deleted the x-notifier folder Chrome won't allow me to install a new copy.

Suggestions?

Opera 12.16.1860 - Slow in checking and not all acounts checked

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I recently began playing with Opera and I had to have XN....just cannot live with XN at this point.  LOL

Once I installed the XN addon, I imported my Firefox settings.  I noticed that Firefox and Opera addon work different, not a problem since they are two different browsers.  BUt what is weird is that it is really slow when it checks my different mail accounts.  What is even worse is that all of the accounts are not checked.  This problem is not specific to either GMAIL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Facebook, RSS,....it is all of the accounts. I have tried rechecking several times with same results.  Unfortunately by clicking on the account, I was hoping it would open that mail but it just opens the verified account of either Hotmail, Gmail, ....

Has anyone else experienced this or does Opera have limits on how many accounts can be checked?

Yes...using latest update: Opera addon - 3.3.12
