Is no one monitoring the Neo forum?

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I have to use Neo in Firefox because it's the only one that works. I've asked a couple of questions over there, and no one has answered anything for at least a year.

I need to know how to add an email. There is no longer any way in the Options to do that.

HotmailX Script serving X-notifier 4.x for Chrome

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I can offer my solution for Hotmail notification, but choose to do so by adding a separate (renamed) Hotmail script. Because I don't want to cause a conflict with the XN package included Hotmail script...

This solution is not applicable for Firefox that does not offer script upload: all scripts are included in the X-notifier extension for Firefox. Those users will have to wait for the X-notifier update from the single man developer of X-notifier: ToBwithU. (The same goes for X-notifier Neo)

This script is named HotmailX. After download:

  1. Add the HotmailX script at X-notifier Options by clicking the Scripts button
  2. Uncheck the checkbox of all your Hotmail accounts presently in your X-notifier list (the 2 scripts cannot function simultaneously)
  3. Select your default Hotmail account - Select the HotmailX script from the Scripts dropdown and Add the HotmailX account to your X-notifier accounts list. It will show at the bottom of the XN accounts list. You can move it up in order to keep things tidy.
  4. Click the Save button
  5. You can add your other Hotmail accounts the same way.

You can download it here:  HotmailX Script
(Left click the link above and use the download button)

Once tobwithu offers his Hotmail solution, you can easily readdress it (by rearranging the checkboxes in the accounts list) and delete the HotmailX script. (This will delete all HotmailX configured XN accounts)

stop xnotifier from checking on chrome start up

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

I see the open automatically is unchecked, bit on my older laptop, it tries to check the email as soon as chrome is opened. And that for some reason slows down the loading process of chrome. Sometimes it's painfully slow.

Is this a bug or has the installatin gone bad? if I were to reinstall it, do I lose all the information already entered?

Thanks for any insights

Time for a replacement what is everyone going to?

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

Ok time to knife this broken half way working and never supported extension. Thing has been broken with outlook for months now to the point it's constantly signing one account out and the other in while trying to view or send emails.

What are people going to that actually works for email notifications in browser?

Chrome XN v. 4.2.21 - suddenly all of my emails disappeared, and ...

Forums
X-notifier for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (deprecated)

When I tried to load from a saved backup, they loaded, then disappeared again. The top of the options said "Nafe" as a script, but I don't use scripts. I had to uninstall, reinstall, and add them all in by hand, as it would not take my import. Then, I had to go to Gmail and add each one individually, as if I were in NEO, because it would not open them. Once I logged in through Gmail and refreshed, it found them.

May I also ask, is XN working with Firefox now, or just Neo? I find Neo too time consuming to use, as I have to add in all my emails every day.

ETA: 1:21 PM ET - Now it won't sign me in to any gmail accounts. I have to sign in individually myself. It says I have one (1) email in each account, so it must be checking them, but when I click on them, it takes me to the main account, and I have to go in and add all accounts back on before it will let me into them.

Is there a previous version I can go back to in order for this to work on Chrome? It doesn't work on FF at all, so I have to keep Chrome open at all times. Not complaining, just saying, one of them has to work property.
