Support GMail new categories system
Forums:
GMail has implemented a new categories system. When new email arrives and is sorted into a category other than Primary it is not shown in X-notifier as new mail.
There are two ways to treat this issue:
- Treat all incoming main, no matter what category it is as new mail.
- Implement an option for the user to decide on notification for email sorted into categories other than Primary.

Supposedly... if you want to TURN OFF 'categories', you can go into your Gmail Settings (click the 'gear' icon), go to Settings, then the Inbox tab, and change the Inbox type: ...to anything except 'Default'. I don't know... I keep my Inbox clear, so there's nothing left to categorize.

Unchecking 'Notify inbox only' will show you all mails.

Not working as expected
I've tried installing the new beta but it seems to bring up all unread mail even mail that's found under labels and archived.
I think it's important to distinguish between Labels and Categories in Gmail. From my view Labels is a sorting mechanism where I control the archiving mechanism (skip the inbox). Whereby Categories is automatically sorted by Gmail and is not archived automatically.

Still not working
I've installed version 3.3.4b2 and it still doesn't work as expected.
The behavior I think you should support is count all unread mail, in every category, that's not marked as archived.
What happens if I uncheck the "Notify inbox only" is that I get the unread count to count all unread mail even archived ones.
