X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

I have used this great little add on for years.  I have noticed for a long time now that spam sent from Me in My spam folder is on the increase...

I have disabled the notifier for 2 weeks in office and at home, (I'm online 18 hrs a day on different machines) and seen a reduction of about 75%...

Drupal password reset never works

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Sorry for the off-topic post, but my password to the forums never works. Every time I go through the process of setting a new password, the site never recognizes it. Every time I access the site, I have to get the password reset email sent to me and log in from there. When I set a new password, it says it accepts it, but then when I log out and log back in again, it says it's a bad password.

I am regurally getting required captchas from X-notifier after the last update? Even if I complete them they keep popping up?

It doesn't work for both pop and imap for my university account

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hi,

I am sure my university offers the pop and imap server, because it works in Outlook and Kontact. I tried the pop, imap settings and Outlook Web App script from the website. None of these  work.  It is strange. It only said not checked.

The outlook web app address is https://www.umons.ac.be/webmail or https://applications.umons.ac.be/owa/

Settings are normal.

POP settingServer name: pop.umons.ac.be
Port: 995
Encryption method: SSLIMAP settingServer name: imap.umons.ac.be
Port: 993
Encryption method: SSLSMTP settingServer name: smtp.umons.ac.be
Port: 587
Encryption method: TLS

Could you please help me to check what is going on?

Thank you guys.

gmail new access annoyances

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Before the new access via gmail account, when I received a new email, XN open the page directly with your inbox.

Now, however, XN open account page and I must every time click "sign in" and enter the login data.

You can avoid it?

Opening of new windows when button is clicked broken?

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hi there,

Firstly, thanks for a great add-on.

However recently I've found a couple of pieces of functionality that were present in older versions of the script that no longer work. I was wondering if it would be possible to get them back?

When you have Gmail configured and you click on the x-notifier button:

  1. If Gmail was already open in one of the tabs, the focus would just switch to that tab.
  2. If there was an empty tab, then Gmail would be loaded into that empty tab - rather than a new tab being opened.

Now whenever you click on the button, a new tab is always opened with Gmail - even if you already have Gmail open or you have a blank tab available.

Is there any chance that this functionality could come back?

Thanks!

Installed: Firefox 17.0.7 ESR (not updatable due to IT policy), Addblock plus 2.4, British English dictionary 1.19.1, lastpass 2.0.20, download statusbar 0.9.10, tab mix plus 0.4.1.2.02, table2clipboard 1.5.3.1, unsocialize 1.2.4, user agent switcher 0.7.3, x-notifier 3.3.9.

GMX.de login

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hello,

since a while (roughly mid of the year) login in to my email account does not work any more.

I guess it is somehow linked to the change in GMX Webinferface during summer this year.

I have the latest script running

GMX
(with navigator)
2013-09-27gmx.net
gmx.attobwithu2740

I have re-checked the account name and password many times, but without any success.

If i login manually thru the webinterface, i always get the message, that the previous sesssion what not logged out correctly, but i alwas logged out manually.

It seams to me, that i x-notifier does not correctly logout during email check, so that gmx "thinks" that a websession is still running

and logs it off after the timeout.

Any suggestions what i can do, to make it running again.

This is the website which appears if i try login in automatically from the xnotifier status-bar icon.

http://www.gmx.net/?status=session-expired

Thanks a lot for your help

Stefan

Incorrect number of emails in x-notifier button for Firefox 24

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hi,

First of all a brilliant add-on but since I've updated to the newest version whenever I open my browser and x-notifier runs it doesn't give me the correct amount of new emails in my Gmail account. Now I clean out my inbox after reading all my mail so realisticly it should correspond with the amount of new emails recieved but it doesn't.
