Not Working With Yahoo Mail (No Notifications)

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hello,A couple of months back, X-Notifier suddenly stopped working. It will not check my email. I've tried reinstalling the add-on, confirming I haven't made a mistake in the login details, even a full browser reinstall... but to no avail.
If I click "Check Now", it just says "Email: Not Checked" in red text.

Anyone have a solution or know of any work arounds please??? I'm running Yahoo Mail on WaterFox 40.0.3

Hotmail New PREVIEW Accounts freezes

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Question to all that use Hotmail accounts and may have a soluton.

I have 5 Hotmail accounts and 3 have been switched to their new Preview, one has just recently been switched.  Each one of my Preview Accounts takes an extremely long time to populate the contents  on the screen (15-20secs) and about the same time when clicking on to open the mail message.  When that occours, the system is frozen.  I cannot even close the Mail tab to free up the system.

Two questions:

1 - Has anyone else experienced this?  Have you found a fix?

2- I am looking for a workaround.  XN checks the accounts on Start up and it will open the account when I click on the mail envelope.  Is there a way for XN to check the account but not automatically open the mail account when clicking on the envelope but the account will open if you manually click on the mail account?

X-Notifier adversely affecting website logins

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

I have ben using X-Notifier for many years and I would like to thank the great creator, Byungwook Kang for all the updates which have kept it working for so long....

However I have just started encountering some big problems with website logins which I have been unable to explain until now. I will first state that my PC has been cleanly re-installed with Windows 7 SP1 x64 and I do not yet have all the required applications installed except for a few basic applications which I always use. Therefore nothing different.

On a number of sites I have encountered problems, today on Github and previously on TopCashBack. On TCB I blamed their site, it kept refusing login, I did a password reset and entered a new password which again was rejected. I use Keepass for my passwords BTW so it's secure and NO ONE has my passwords! No one has the years needed to crack the password file!

I stopped trying logins at TCB hoping that the site fixed the issues. However today while attempting to login to Github I have been getting identical problems. Reset the password, copying the login info, manually typing the login info, even with a simple password and it rejects the login. So I shut down my clipboard utility which made no difference. I started disabling extensions, I use quite a few with Palemoon x64 25.8.1. It was only when I disabled X-Notifier that the problem was fixed. If I go back to Github with X-Notifier disabled, I am logged in! However if I enable X-Notifier and restart my browser and go back to Github I am logged Out and I cannot log back in until I disable X-Notifier! KeeFox will not log me in and neither will manually logging in successfully log me in. I have check cookies and they are enabled, I do not yet have noscript extension installed so that is not contributing to the problem.

I now have all my extensions enabled, my clipboard manager and web filtering and no problems but if I re-enable X-Notifier and the problems show themselves.

I do not know how X-Notifier can be influencing logins but it certainly is for me.

x-notifier 3.5.18 and pale moon 25.8.1 "yahoo not checked"

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

I have been using xnotifier for years and it worked flawlessly with firefox. Several months ago, maybe half a year, i stopped using Firefox because of their annoying security policy concerning addons, and switched to Pale Moon.

I migrated with all my firefox addons, and xnotifier continued to work without any issues. But couple of months ago i noticed that it doesn't check my yahoo mail anymore and doesn't notify me about it.

I still can get into my mailbox by clicking on the xnotifier icon, but when i try to check email  by choosing from the contex menu "check now", it is trying to check but no use. I see "Yahoo not checked".

I checked it in my Firefox 43.0.1 (i don't use it anymore but still have it on my computer with all updates installed) and xnotifier works there.

Could you please fix it for Pale Moon browser?

My Pale Moon version is 25.8.1

My Xnotifier version is 3.5.18

X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hello,
Presently, my pop 3 accounts are set to open in Thunderbird and were working. Very recently, not sure when, Thunderbird won't open when I click the account. In options, for the accounts, I checked and the path is correct.

After upgrade to FF 43.0.4, Yahoo and Hotmail go into a continuous loop

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

After upgrading to FF 43.0.4, the Yahoo and Hotmail login pages go into a continuous loop, making login impossible. I also get an error saying that the proxy server is refusing connections. Auto-logins to Gmail don't work either, although notifications do work. I can login manually to Gmail, but not Yahoo or Hotmail. Curiously, I can login to Yahoo Japan (manually, that is. X-notifier Autologons [by clicking an account in the X-notifier dropdown listing or sidebar] haven't worked for any major mail service for almost a year now).

I tried manually stopping the reloading, but then the login page doesn't display. I get the proxy error.
I tried turning off the proxy in the FF network settings. Didn't help.
I tried dumping all cache and cookies. Didn't help.
I tried reinstalling X-notifier. Didn't help.
I tried running FF in safe mode. I could then login manually to Yahoo and Hotmail, no problem. So things do work with X-notifier disabled.
I tried using other browsers (without X-notifier installed), and there are no problems logging in.
Is there anything else I could try short of waiting for an X-notifier update? Any ideas anyone?

Extension is broken

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

X-notifier has been broken ever since the FF43 update. Here is what I have noticed:

  1. It does not check for new e-mail at the interval I set. I have five Gmail accounts, one Yaboo, and one Hotmail account. They were all set to 2 minute intervals and worked just fine. Now I have to manually refresh each time.
  2. I have one Gmail account where I set it up to notify when I get new e-mails that are archived and tagged with a label. I do this with my Amazon.com orders as an example. Now I am only notified when I have e-mail in my direct inbox only. I have to physically click on the e-mail account to open it and THEN see that I have unread messages in the Amazon.com label I made.

I tried a clean installation of X-notifier with no luck. I then did a clean install of FF43 with no luck. I tested this on my second computer and no luck. Again, I have not changed any settings in X-notifier since I downloaded it over 2 years ago. Everything was working fine until now.
