After upgrading to FF 43.0.4, the Yahoo and Hotmail login pages go into a continuous loop, making login impossible. I also get an error saying that the proxy server is refusing connections. Auto-logins to Gmail don't work either, although notifications do work. I can login manually to Gmail, but not Yahoo or Hotmail. Curiously, I can login to Yahoo Japan (manually, that is. X-notifier Autologons [by clicking an account in the X-notifier dropdown listing or sidebar] haven't worked for any major mail service for almost a year now).
Same scenario but no problems here
Hi tomtinker,
try with the following guide:
Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-…
Then reinstall X-Notifier from the official add-on page:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xnotifier/
Then add your accounts to X-Notifier.

Gianni
Progress
Thanks for the tips Gianni.
I finally tracked down the problem to an offending extension - that I had previously disabled, but that somehow got re-enabled without my knowledge - by the name of Hola, a VPN software. Once I disabled Hola, pages were then able to complete loading. And I can now get into my mail again. Don't know if this is a problem with other VPN services or not, but I would recommend other XNotifier users to avoid Hola.
