Serve Banner Ads

By hb3zulu , 30 March 2013

I have multiple accounts associated with X-Notifier.  About 3 weeks ago a  second screen with the error message listed below appears when I open my aol account?  The account will open but I always have the second screen, which sometimes has an actual ad.

I have uninstalled and started over, but the problem persists.

SPAM in disguise

THAT LINK IS NOT TO A SCREENCAPTURE OF AN ERROR MESSAGE.

IT'S A WEBSITE LINK.

Any idea how to get rid of it

Any idea how to get rid of it?  It opens every time I go into my AOL account.

Suggest removing that link

I clicked on your link.  It opened an iphone webpage ad.  After that one time, it won't open anymore... just shows a blank page, even when I try from a different browser. I'm running a full system virus scan now because of that.

If you really have a problem, I doubt that it's with X-Notifier.  My AOL account opens fine, no ads.  I suggest you remove that link from your post here.  It does NOT show an "error message listed below" and just pointing us to an ad page serves no purpose except to serve up ads and makes us wonder if you're spamming the forum in disguise.

Try Malwarebytes. It's free.  Problem is not in X-Notifier.  And not in AOL page.  At least, not for me.

I removed the link.

Sorry if I caused you any drama.

Thanks for the help

Backlash

Violating forum etiquette, knowingly or not,  isn't drama.
An error message is just that (a message), not a webpage.

Good luck with your ad blocking.
Be aware of the Superfish option in X-Notifier 'Options'.
