False emails on Firefox

By pocttopus , 7 July 2019

Hello,

I am getting false notifications for emails. Is there any way to solve this issue?

xNotifier v4.2.13

Firefox 67.0.4 (x64)

ps-this behaviour is the same on Opera/Edge as well.

Thanks!

unread messages

It could mean you (temporarily) unchecked the XN Option Reset counter when opening messages.

To find all hidden unread messages in Gmail, type is:unread in Gmail's search box.

No, it's actually checked.

No, it's actually checked.

And if I use the is:unread command there is more unreaded messages than xnotifier is counted. All were in the "social" folder.

ps-I need to use reCaptcha 10 times to be able to post on this forum. Is this normal?

Solutions

Present Gmail script includes all inbox categories in the inbox only count: Mark all your social messages as read to correct the inbox count. You can create a filter to automate this: http://xnotifier.tobwithu.com/dp/comment/13581#comment-13581

For Opera you can use my GmailX script to get the correct (primary category) inbox only count (and the social & promotions category counts in the XN icon menu for the Gmail account mouse-over):  http://xnotifier.tobwithu.com/dp/node/3780
(But when you use the Gmail filter, you will loose the social & promotions counts in the XN icon menu for the Gmail account mouse-over anyway)
