I press the export button, and a new tab opens with a bunch of text on it. All I can do is save the page as a Web Archive. I try to import that, and I just get an empty X-Notifier page, with none of my email accounts.
Is this because I'm trying to go from Safari to Chrome?

When you click Export, a window should pop up asking for a password, I believe... then you click OK to save the file.
What you're seeing sounds like your browser is misinterpreting the program code and showing you either faulty code or the encrypted file in a garbled text form. I'm not sure what to adjust for Safari, as I don't use it. Maybe someone else in forum can help.
