2) Yes, accounts are deleted when you delete scripts... the accounts are not very usable without the script. If you were updating the script, you should always simply add the new script... it will overwrite the old script without losing your account definition.
3) If you want to set up the POP3 or IMAP script for GMX access, then server settings are shown at links below...
x) if someone wants to provide a GMX.com test account (username/password) to xndevel@gmail.com, it may help get an update faster. (You can change your password for this purpose, or afterward.)

I suggested using the POP3 or IMAP script while waiting for the GMX scripts to be updated... and the POP3/IMAP scripts use the server settings for which I provided links. The POP3/IMAP scripts are available in Options via the Scripts drop-down list at lop left side. As you probably know, there are embedded scripts (like POP3/IMAP) which are included with X-Notifier, and there are custom scripts that you download and install from the Scripts page. Unfortunately, the Chrome version of X-Notifier cannot use the POP3/IMAP scripts. - Sometimes, custom scripts allow for specifying a server because the provider (like GMX) is a global provider with different sub-servers in different parts of the world. I don't know if that's the case for you.
