AOL mail not working

AOL login hasn't been working for the past few months. When I try to login using X-notifier, it logs me OUT of AOL mail  (even though I am not logged in). I get a screen with a running progress meter which says "Signing out...", and then get redirected to a login form. Several other accounts are working fine, including Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail. It only happens with AOL. Is this a known problem?

Using Firefox 32 on WinXP SP3.

X-Notifier 3.4.9 (and the embedded AOL script) are working fine for me on Firefox 33 and Windows 8.1

I would suggest opening a new tab in your browser, manually going to aol.com and logging in to see if there are any prompts which might be interfering with third party mail checking.  
If there isn't anything unusual in mail login, then I'd suggest deleting the AOL definition from X-Notifier, restart the browser, and redefine the account.

 

I tried logging in manually, and couldn't spot anything unusual. So I deleted the AOL definition in X-Notifier, restarted the browser, recreated the definition, and everything works fine now. Thanks for the suggestion RpD.
