GMX (with navigator) - Script broken

By Kono14 , 12 June 2013

Frist of all, I love your plugin! Awesome work.

Sadly since today the "GMX (with navigator)" script seems to be partialy broken. It can't check for new mails anymore. But when I click on the mail-account it still logs me in, so the auto-login still works.

Im using: Chrome 28 beta and Windows 7. I also tested this on Chrome 28 beta and Mac OS X 10.8.4, same there.

Take some steps...

Put into simple words and not pretending to cover all possible causes:
When a provider makes a change in the web content (the html) of the page you get to after login, where the number of received messages is displayed, the XN script has to be adjusted to get this number from the altered content.

But lots of times the malfunction is caused by the individual browser (f.i. by certain other installed add-ons). You can perform the steps in this post to rule out your browser is causing the malfunction:

old bug re-appeard

I tested the new script version today. Indeed the new message counter works again! :)

But an old bug reappeard again, described here: http://xnotifier.tobwithu.com/dp/node/54

For me this bug only appeared only in the sctipt version 2013-02-25 and was fixed in script version 2013-04-20. But in your newest bugfix release the bug is present again.

The first few times of logins work fine , the message counter works, your get the overview page and can go directly to your inbox. But after a few hours (I guess its about 3h before the GMX session expires) you can only login to see the overview page, but you can't go to your inbox anymore. It says "trying to re-create last session" and then it hangs there forever. The only possibility is: manually logout and login again.
