How to sync x-notifier accounts form one PC to another

By screwyy , 8 June 2013

Hello,

Is there a way to sync all the x-notifier accounts  from a firefox browser on a PC to a firefox browser in another PC.

For example I would like to have at work the same accounts from home in x-notifie. Is there a way to copy them from home and paste at work or sync the browsers. I tryed with firefox sync but it does not work.

I work with almost 7 gmail accounts and 4 yahoo mail accounts and it's time consuming to create them from scratch, on some I don't even remember the passwords :)

Thanks

Just export your xnotifier settings

If I understood you correctly, just open xnotifier and export your settings into .xn file, and import into another xnotifier.

I believe that usual online syncing don't exist.

Passwords, Sync, Export

First, you should be able to use Firefox, Options, Security tab, Saved Passwords, Show Passwords ...to see your passwords, if you allowed Firefox to save passwords (and X-Notifier uses Firefox's password manager).
And... while Firefox specifies it syncs add-ons, it might not sync -all- add-on data.

So, Exporting your X-Notifier accounts would allow you to backup/save, and import them into another X-Notifier installation.

Right-click the X-Notifier envelope icon,
Click Options...
Then click the Export button...
Decide where to save it, and what to name the file ("firefox.xn" is the default)...
Click Save...
And enter a password to protect the file,
Click OK.

Then you can take that file to another X-Notifier installation, and...
Click X-Notifier Options,
Click Import,
...find/select the file, and...
Click Open,
Enter the password,
Click OK
...to import the file into another X-Notifier.
