X-Notifier -AOL Rich text Media Not Working

By jerry1nmn , 18 February 2014

I am using the current versions of both Firefox (27) and your addon
X-Notifier (312) for Aol (Aol 9.7).

No matter what version I use of firefox after Version 4.1, I cannot
compose aol email using the AOL rich text media HTML setting. After
writing a few lines, the email will freeze up and I can no longer type
any words. The only work around is to disable rich text media html and
use plain text. Any suggestions how to fix the Rich text Media html
problem? Thank You-Jerry

AOL version

Where are you getting your AOL version?  Using the AOL toolbar?? or AOL mail add-on as email client when browsing web pages???

FF 27.0.1, X-Notifier 3.3.12. I'm composing an email in another tab, from the AOL Mail webpage started from X-Notifier, using Comic Sans font, bold, italic, 'fun' theme, etc., (Rich/HTML setting)... without the toolbar or add-on ...and it hasn't locked up yet.

Follow-up

I am using the X Notifier as an addon to Firefox to get to my AOL mail and compose the mail. I have disabled all other addons, cleared cookies, cache but still same freeze problem. I am using the atrial font, I will try a different font and see what happens. Any other suggestions? Thank you for your help.

Doubt that font is the problem

I only gave the rich text/html settings I was using as an example that I did have rich text/html enabled... composing AOL email, without locking up.  I doubt that the choice of font is the problem... but it's hard to guess why it's locking up on you.
What I didn't understand is where you got the AOL 9.7 version number.  If you're running some AOL version software... that could be a source of the problem.  I used the Firefox/X-Notifier combination... clicking my AOL email account in the X-Notifier pop-up account list (right-click X-N's envelope icon), to start AOL account in a new Firefox tab.... and can't get it to freeze.
