Time to say goodbye

By fixer , 1 August 2017

Thank you for the beautiful years with x-notifier. But it is time to move forward ....

I have found my external x-notifier alternative: MailCheck 2 (http://www.d-jan.de/mailcheck.shtml)
Available languages: german and english

Perhaps also an alternative for others

I will continue to pursue the development here.

MailCheck 2

Usually I don't like external programs. Just tested and it doesn't work with yahoo.

I get this message: [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] LOGIN Invalid credentials.

Goodbye!

@Nocturnus

Yahoo accounts work fine with me.
You must give external application access in the yahoo account.

Ah OK. But I prefer POP Peeper because is more advanced. For now I use X-notifier + jeroen script.

So...

Apparently, Mail Check 2 works only by IMAP and POP3 access, no custom scripts.

You don't really explain why it is 'time to say goodbye'...
and posted in the 'Feature Request' forum... not exactly relevant.

(Seems tacky, to me, to include a URL link to another product...
...the name of the program should be sufficient.
Sorry, but I never understand the need to stab what has been a favored product.
Because it IS a stabbing, to promote a competitor in support forums.
Et tu, Brute?) Que sera whatever.
