It's sad that x-notifier isn't maintained properly anymore. From what I read, the GMX script isn't the only one that's broken, and the last update of any script was five months ago. :(
No support .. no explanation. very sad. When I go to www.gmx.com or www.mail.com, I get a normal looking start page. If I click on either red link from XN icon in browser, I get a parsed page on each. The parsed say to enable java script . so I am guessing this is the problem with the scripts. Wish I knew how to write a script. Sad to scrap a good product simply because it needs a script revision. very sad.
I agree.. The app should be taken down if it's not working or being supported anymore.
And the donation buttons should certainly be removed as this could fool unsuspecting new users that their new app is working great untill they've used it for a while then like us realise that there are serious issues that are being totally ignored.
But that's the same as reporting this (script) doesn't work for gmail.com or web.de or mail.com.
Each website (html) gets produced and delivered (on each of our browser requests) by a webserver, which is a pretty complex piece of software, residing on a hardware machine (confusingly also called a server) at a co-location, where a company rents a rack for it's webserver(s). The webserver for gmx.net is a different one than the webserver for gmx.com. They are probably built by different software companies using different techniques by different people (software developers).
This thread started out for the GMX script(s), but later posts for GMX.COM got added to it. And for some posts one has to guess which of the two gets reported. Better to have separate threads for seperate scripts (serving separate webservers)!!

GMX (www.GMX.com), one of the world’s leading email providers, is accelerating its growth by taking over the American internet domain mail.com.

So, it figures that they're both having problems with X-notifier at the same time.

GMX (with navigator) script
Admin today posted an update for this script at the Scripts page. Please test.
Looking at the script it not only involves the login data, but also a complex scenario for the login process.
Cheers, tobwithu(s)!!
