icons missing

I have x-notifier running on my bottom toolbar. All of a sudden all of my email accounts are missing from the tool bar. There is just the x-notifier icon. The only way to check my mail is right clicking that icon and opening up the sidebar. r window doesn't open either. BTW there are TWO x-notifier icons on the bottom tool bar.

What version of FF are you running?

[Edit:  Don't forget you can go to FF menu, View, and Toolbars, and check that X-Notifier toolbar is checkmarked.]
Perhaps you could reinstall X-Notifier to fix it.
(Maybe you should backup (export) your X-Notifier acct definitions first)

In old version of Firefox one could have a Staus bar at the bottom, where one could place the X-notifier icon. Some people run an old version of Firefox on platforms like Linux/Unix/Ubuntu.

I wonder: are you talking about the X-notifier Toolbar, where all your account icons get displayed with/without text? This XN feature features some left-over obsolete behavior that should be addressed by the developer:

  1. The X-notifier Options General tab features a Show status bar option that seems obsolete in the later  FF version (but does it work in the old version?).
  2. The X-notifier Toolbar configured thru FF-menu View-Toolbars can also be addressed in about:config, which leads to "funny" behavior... (I can explain when desired)

Questions:

  1. Did you try rearrange things (XN icon) by Toolbar-rightmouse-click: Customize... ?
  2. Do you use an add-on like Status-4-Evar in order to continue the use of the bottom Status bar?
