Late to the party

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for X-notifier since I just started using it.  Was a long time user of Gmail Checker but it just stopped working and I don't think the developer is supporting it anymore.  I wasn't aware of X-notifier until someone mentioned it and I'm a total convert now.  Seems to be working flawlessly and is still being actively supported.

Cheers!

WMN or X-notifier has been an indispensable part of my Firefox installation for many years... great add-on and great developer. Thank you!

I just wanted to report back after having used it for a day now and there are a couple of things I noticed that keep it from being a pefect Gmail Checker replacement.  For me personally, I miss the ability to preview and/or mark read new messages without having to actually open it in a tab.  Secondlyl, I've never personally used 2-step verification, but for those who do, the fact that X-notifier does not support it, makes it a no-go.

If I'm wrong in assuming that these two features are not possible with X-N then please let me know.  Otherwise, I still don't have any other option than to continue using it(which isn't a bad one) at least until (if ever) Gmail Checker gets updated.

I do apologize in advance if referring to other competing addons is frowned upon here.  I'm new so unsure of the ettiquette.  It's not my intention to pit one against the other and I'm still very thankful for X-notifier.

Cheers!

I don't use it, but I believe X-Notifier supports Gmail 2-step... it's discussed frequently.

However, X-Notifier is an email checker/notifier, not a manager (so no email state changes/previews).

Only ONE used 2-step verification to test on Macintosh for Tobwithu,
while other 4 just normal passwords.
So far I have no problem with X-notifier's used 2-step verification.

I did playing with Gmail notifier plus & Gmail notifier. It only works WITH GMAIL!
NOT other Host(s). So I stay with X-notifier that it will work ALLLLL HOST!

If you want "preview" you can download other Add-on and go with X-notifier!
