GMail session problem

When openning a gapps link from non-primary GMail account, docs, drive or classroom, for instance, the buttons and actions on the page doesn't work. You can't download a GDrive file, neither view an attachment in a message on classroom. Making this account the primary one "solves" the issue. Anyone else experiencing that?

-PS.: I have "multiple login" option enabled and "keep session for links" too.

A gapps link... (google apps) ...in what?  An email?  From the little 9-box Apps menu at top of gmail interface?
Or... from the "IntegratedInbox" addon for Firefox? ("Coming soon for Chrome")

If you provide more detail on exactly what you do... we can try to duplicate it.

Resuming as I'm still having this issue.

Here are the steps to replicate:

  1. Start with a fresh Firefox profile (at the moment 38.0.5)
  2. Install X-Notifier (at the moment 3.5.8)
  3. Add two Gmail accounts to the XNotifier
  4. Ensure X-notifier works propery
  5. Open the non-primary account, this will open a new tab with underlined title, meaning you're in a session managed by X-notifier
  6. Click the Apps menu in the top right section and then click on Drive
  7. Everything works as expected up to here.
  8. Now click the New button and choose Google Docs to create a new document (or any other option)
  9. A new windows opens, this time with no underlining in the title, this document is being created in the primary account, not the expected.

Hope this helps.

If Tobwithu, the developer, doesn't see it here... send a description of problem and those steps listed above to xndevel@gmail.com

I have duplicated the problem (without creating fresh profile).

Hi tobwithu,

the issue described by dan (Daniele) is still active also with XN 3.5.9.

I confirmed the issue.

But I couldn't find a way to resolve it.

Google drive page has very complicated javascript.

Don't get sent on a wild goose chase, admin ;-)

At start of this thread I reached the same conclusion, but...

I decided to test without (disabling) X-notifier first, to check whether this issue is in fact an X-notifier issue. And reached a different conclusion!

Two Gmail accounts:
Like with Chrome it is not possible anymore with Firefox to use Google Apps, like Google Drive, for a second Gmail account without logging out from your currently logged in Gmail account.

Gmail + Google Apps Mail account:
This is still possible, but while being logged in to the Google Apps Mail account you have to logon to Google Drive for that account separately.
This also works using X-notifier!!

So the issue stated at the start of this thread is not an X-notifier issue!
Or am I overlooking something?

I'm using the following workaround to create a new sheet inside a X-notifier session:

  1. Open the email of the account you want to use
  2. Ensure the tab is underlined
  3. Press CTRL-T to open a new tab
  4. Ensure the new tab is underlined too
  5. In this new tab open the address https://sheets.google.com (guess it works for other services too) typing it in the address bar
  6. Click on the + sign lower right
  7. A new document is created within the correct session

Hope this helps.

Thanks tobwithu to take time to reply. Keep up your fantastic jub with this extension.

Ciao,
