May be not much help, but both hotmail and outlook.com mail are working fine for me... which suggests a problem with your account or software setup. Can you click on the account in the popdown list (right-click the X-Notifier envelope icon and then click your hotmail account)... and does it open to your inbox in a new tab? I occasionally lose checking on some accounts which either fix themselves, or work after I delete and recreate them in X-Notifier. Sometimes software or Firefox user profile can get corrupted. Sometimes there are prompts to be answered during login that prevent X-Notifier from checking... you just have to open a new tab in browser and login manually to clear such one-time (usually) prompts.
I am having the same issue with Hotmail/Outlook, but for me it has been a week since it has worked properly. I have also tried X-Notifier on Chrome, but with the same result...and on both of my computers. When it stopped being able to check Hotmail/Outlook, I did notice that the url to my email had changed so that my bookmark to go directly to it didn't work, so I went to my email manually and created a new bookmark. When I did that, X-Notifier could at least take me to my email by clicking the icon, but when it tries to check my email it just says "Hotmail: not checked". I have tried uninstalling X-Notifier and reinstalling a couple of times.

hotmail
Thanks for your reply. I can get to the account both by clicking the icon or directly yet I still can't get X-notifer
to auto login as before or scan for new mail.

working again
I read another post that referenced the same problem I was having and the beta that I found there fixed the problem. Thank you all for your posts.
