[BUG] Gmail 2-factor Authentication

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hello guys,

I have 2 Gmail accounts setup in X-Notifier, both have 2-step Auth set, and by the end of 2014 I was facing a problem where the 2-factor auth was being requested everytime I start firefox... BUUUUUT it only did that with one of the accounts (not the primary). The problem seemed to be gone with an update by the end of December/2014 and everything was fine until this week (2015-02-16) when it started to ask for verification code in the same account again and again everytime I start firefox and even in the middle of navigation.

Is there a configuration that I'm missing to setup or is it a bug?

ps.: the account is not @gmail.com, it's gapps from my university but the login is on gmail.com

problem with Gmail Categories

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

basically it seems that if the email is in another category other than the Primary label in my inbox x-notifier doesnt pick it up as a recieved email. you see two of my main inboxes have the Categories lables setup so the emails are split between primary, social, updates and forums but if the emails dont show up under the primary label the addon doesnt pick up any emails at all, is there a setting lm missing because l changed to this addon as it seemed the best to control multiple accounts that actually worked on the latest firefox in a somewhat similar way to Gmail manager which seemed to break past firefox 32.0.

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

I can't remember the password I assigned six months ago. Is it possible to recover or get past this??? I need the email accounts and passwords from that specific .XN file because I recently reimaged my PC and Firefox does not have the information of the latest accounts.

Please please please tell me there's a way to do this.

TIA

My advice about XN vs. Yahoo:

I got the latest version of XN, 3.5.4, but XN continued having troubles logging into some of my Yahoo email accounts.

There have been lots of stuff going on with the yahoo log on process, including interrupting logging-on by asking users to make new, more complicated passwords.  Those interruptions get in the way of the "normal" loggin, which XN never expects.

For three accounts that I had trouble with, I started having to log in manually.  Trouble started weeks or months ago, depending on the account.  For accounts that XN couldn't log into, I had to log in manually a few dozen times for about a week, responding to Yahoo's annoyances, and making sure XN has the correct password(s) (new or otherwise).  After about a week of manual logging in, XN suddenly started logging in automatically, again.  That happened with three different accounts.

Even though I was logging in manually, I could tell that XN suddenly started logging in because in the X-Notifier Toolbar, the accounts started appearing Bold with the unread-count.

So, if anyone's asking me, I suggest that for trouble logging into Yahoo, 1) Make sure you have the latest XN update, 2) Make sure your XN add-on has the latest passwords for your Yahoo accounts, and 3) Start logging in to Yahoo manually for about a week, and respond to their required loggin questions and annoyances (new passwords never hurt anybody).

If you do that, then sooner or later XN will start logging in automatically.

(Until Yahoo inserts new transient interruptions into their loggon procedure.)
