Notification Window

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Since an update the notification window is huge and stays there forever.

Can I set the size?
Can I set the duration?

Thanks.

X-Notifier on Firefox has stopped working... again

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

I'm running Win 10 with Firefox as my browser. Until two or three days ago, X-Notifier was working normally. It abruptly stopped working. I have enable and disabled it, removed it and reinstalled it – nothing doing. This has happened before, then X-Notifer just crept back in.

Any ideas why this has happened and what I can do to get it to work again? Thanks.

Posteo is grey, login not working

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hi collegues,

posteo script is not working anymore.

I will provide a testaccount to XNdevel soon.

Hope, he will find the time to check the problem.

This is part of the news from Posteo Website, maybe it helps finding the issue:

"New security technology and additional certificate

Created on 04. April 2016, 14:30 | Category: Info

Dear Posteo users and interested parties,

We would like to inform you about some new pieces of security technology at Posteo.

We have begun to support “Certificate Transparency” technology. In addition, we started using new technology known as “Certification Authority Authorization (CAA)” and “HTTP Public Key Pinning (HPKP)” a few weeks ago. These further increase the security of Posteo for you.

Nothing changes for you – and you do not need to do anything. In this blog article we merely wish to provide an insight into how we are protecting your data at Posteo using these features."

Clash with another plugin since upgrading to FireFox 46.0.1

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

Hi,

Since upgrading to FF 46.0.1 X-Notifier and the TinEye plug-in seem to be conflicting.

If I reinstall the X-Notifier plug-in it works but the TinEye plug-in stops working

and if I reinstall TinEye then the X-Notifier icon next to the address bar stops working (have to open the sidebar).

Never had this happen before.

Thank you - great add-on.

Regards,

Damian

hotmail with 2-factor authentication not working again?

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

A couple of weeks ago, WebMail Notifier stopped checking my hotmail account again.  I have added and removed the account and completely removed and re-added WeMail Notifier, but I can't get it to check hotmail.  I'm using 2-factor authentication, but I'm never prompted for my code like I am with my Gmail account.  I was on 3.5.21, but backed off to 3.5.20 hoping it would help.  It didn't.

AOL web mail not being checked; IMAP still works

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

As was posted a few days ago, the builtin AOL web mail checker is now failing for some folks including myself.  I also have tried to reinstall and reconfigure to no avail.  I am hopeful that a fix will be forthcoming.

As a workaround I am using the builtin IMAP checker.

Server: imap.aol.com:993  Username: Your-AOL-Handle@aol.com  Alias: AOL IMAP  Link: https://mail.aol.com

Lastly, I have also noted that AOL is very sensitive to anything that looks like a proxy login via their web mail portal.  I have been testing a number of reverse proxy solutions and AOL on at least 2 occasions has seen the connections coming from the proxy as a "suspicious" login attempt.  The second time AOL forced me to change my password.  So I cannot point to Xnotifier as the cause per se, as it was just checking every 10 minutes as it was told to do, but it was inadvertently the reason, sort of.

In any case, I hope someone finds this information helpful.

x-notifier firefox 46.0.1

Forums
X-notifier 3.x for Firefox (deprecated)

X-notifier keeps asking for CODE??? What Code??? all this started today, question Flash playter had an update and does this have an or any affect on X notifier??    Removed extension and dnloaded fresh but the extension will not search with gmail script, another question wonder if Google and Mozilla in their infinate myrid of breaking extensions that work made any changes to cause gmail script from working..  OSX 10.11.4 current operating system used, have used this extension over 4 years with very little problems and if any problems that have occured are usually associated with google scripts.  Another question I do not use Chrome at all but notice that HASHING for some reason appears in Apple system Log in association with XNotifier.  Any Suggestion..

Thank You
