I'm not able to identify a cause, but for the past week, my X-notifier add-on has been unable to check my Outlook account (created after Microsoft shifted away from Hotmail) and a POP3 account with my ISP, although both have work without problems of any kind before that. The information requested to add both accounts is correct, so I am unsure what the problem is. I have two HP notebooks that I use FF on with the X-notifier add-on -- I am using FF 4.0.1, and have Windows 10 with the November 2015 upgrade and all subsequent updates install.

I do know that i stopped using Outlook, Hotmail emails cause you can't even read the emails and all the emails are bunch together and I'm using Windows 7 so it's really hard to say it could be something with Microsoft server upgrade causing the problem for you or maybe you need to upgrade your Firefox browser to the current one cause that will do it too But i do know I had a HP computer and it was garbage so no more HP computers for me . I will have a Dell or a Acer no other brand and it could be your computer too hard to pinpoint.

Everything is up to date (Win 10, FF 44.0.1, all other software I use). I make a practice of having all updates installed as soon as I get noticifications. (Even use FileHippo app daily to check.)

My hotmail, outlook, live.com and POP3 accounts are being checked fine, as far as I know... so I see no problem with X-Notifier.
