Cannot use GMail with Firefox

By Southern Cross , 3 March 2015

Whenever I try to enter my GMail account using Firefox 35.0.1 I keep getting the followeing message "The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I can still access Gmail with Chrome, though...

Troubleshooting; Cookies

Googling for that error message shows a Firefox user discussion about clearing cookies to fix that... otherwise you can try the steps mentioned in this post: http://xnotifier.tobwithu.com/dp/node/4

You can clear just the gmail cookies by going to Firefox, Tools, Options, Privacy tab, change History setting to 'Firefox will:' "Use custome settings for history", and then click 'Show Cookies', then type:  gmail  ...in the Search box, and highlight appropriate cookies and click ' Remove Cookie'.  Or.... just remove all cookies ...(at your choice/risk).
