automatically takes me to another tab - unwanted

By daytwah1234 , 23 August 2014

X-notifier automatically kicks me out of the tab I am working in and takes me to another tab containging the new email. How do I prevent being automatically taken to the new tab when I want to stay with the tab I am currently working on. I can get back to the tab I am working on, but it is a hastle to have to go back every time a new email arrives. Thanks.

Two accounts, same email provider?

The way I was told to do it, so that when X-Notifier runs a new email check, it won't bump you between accounts... is to always use the X-Notifier drop-down account menu to access your account.  If I remember right, this is only necessary for when you have multiple accounts with the same provider.

Right-click the X-Notifier envelope icon, and an account list pops up... click the account you want to work in, from that list ...to open it in a new tab.  Then when X-Notifier logs into other accounts with the same provider, it won't kick you out of the one you're working in (into one of the other same provider accounts).

This is because X-Notifier creates its own 'sessions', I believe, and opening your account from within the X-Notifier app allows X-N to check all accounts from same provider, and leave your work open and active and undisturbed.

Works for me.
