A show/reveal password checkbox in options would be very helpful.

Firefox, you can check Preferences => Security => Saved Logins... [and you click] Show Passwords.
I am not sure on Safari and Chrome.

Chrome allows showing passwords, but I'm not sure X-Notifier uses the Chrome password cache like it does the Firefox security feature. That's part of why I allow Chrome to save passwords for email accounts, separate from X-Notifier.

ok, I was hoping I didn't have to start saving passwords in Firefox.
