Does the IMAP feature use IMAP IDLE (instant push notification), or does it just perform periodic checking?
If periodic, then what is the time-period, and is there any chance that IDLE may be implemented for Firefox X-notifier in the future?

'Check interval'
IMAP account definition includes 'Check interval' option, where -you- set the time-period for checking.
