Neo doesn't work, x-notifier doesn't work... I'm so frustrated

I can't get x-notifier to work at all - even in chrome it doesn't work - it USED to work great in firefox - I LOVED it, would do one click and it would open all gmail accounts and yahoo accounts that had unread messages in.  Now, nothing works at all.  No matter what I click on, I just get taken to the gmail home page.  Even yahoo doesn't work.  I tried neo - that doesn't work either.  I have several gmail and yahoo accounts, I USED to have them all stored in a .xn file, so that all passwords were saved in there - even if I use the saved .xn file, nothing works.  Can anyone help at all?  I even backdated firefox AND used an old version of x-notifier for a while, but I know that's not safe - best to always use the updated versions - but now I cannot get any webmail notifiers.  Help :-(  I'm into this about 6 hours of trying and researching.... up against a dead end.... :-(

Just so you know, I don't mind if I can get it to work in chrome OR firefox.. .just so long as it works somewhere!!

If it's that bad, I would start from scratch... uninstall all X-Notifiers, clear your cache and cookies, and restart your browser... then re-install X-N, and... redefine one account from scratch to see if it works.
If it does, then you can decide if you want to import your saved accounts, or redefine them all.

Still couldn't get it working.  A friend suggested trying x-notifier on a different computer - that worked (except for yahoo emails - that won't work anywhere) - so at least we know it was my LAPTOP at fault here.  Rebooted, reinstalled firefox - nothing worked.  Eventually removed my profile from firefox, created a new one, and tried a couple of gmail accounts - AND IT WORKED!  I tried importing my old .xn file with all my gmails and password - that doesn't work at all - so something along the way got corrupted.  If I create everything new, then all gmails show up.  Does not work for yahoo emails though - they are still absent, even though they are saved in x-notifier with the passwords......

Open a browser and go to mail.yahoo.com, and login manually... see if there are any prompts during login (informing you of something new or asking for some kind of approval, etc.).  Sometimes email provider notifications or prompts get in the way during logins and that prevents X-Notifier from doing its job.

Unbelievable!  I did what you said, logged into yahoo, all that it asked was if I wanted to save the password - normally I say no, never... this time I said yes, and now it works fine on x-notifier. I  would NEVER have thought to do that.  THANK YOU THANK YOU! :-)

I believe that was the browser asking to store the password... which is something I do and my accounts have worked fine for a long time.
However. that's a little different from what I suggested... sometimes email providers prompt from the website, after logging you in... asking a question (to confirm something) or just pop up a note about something, like new security procedures or such things, and you have to answer the question or click OK on pop up notices, to get it out of the way, so X-Notifier can work.
But I'm glad saving the passord to the browser worked for you... I have mentioned that in forum before to others but you're the first to exclaim that it has also worked for you... some people worry about security, but I believe Firefox encrypts saved passwords... Chrome is a little different, depending on your Windows login to protect you/Chrome.  
Maybe saving passwords is one of the reasons why my accounts always work when other people have trouble with theirs.  Enjoy ;)...

If you click on those accounts on X-Notifier drop-down menu of accounts, do they log you into your inbox?
