Disable Switch-To-Tab

I couldn't find this searching previous posts.  I'm probably missing something simple.

When X-Notifier checks for new messages and I have new emails, it automatically switches to the outlook.com tab.  The same thing happens if I disable "Reuse opened tab".

I want to configure X-N so that it merely shows a number on the toolbar icon, indicating the number of new messages, and NOT switch to, or open a new, outlook.com tab until such time that I click on the toolbar icon.

In X-notifier Options - Accounts tab the option Open automatically (at left side: the last of 4 checkboxes) should be unchecked.
