Hotmail stopped working after setting 2-steps verification
Hi,
I have set 2-step verification three days ago on my Outlook.com account and the X-notifier immediately stopped working.
This is what I already have tried:
- I have created an application password and used it in X-notifier. (I don't know if it is important to mention but I have also checked not to ask 2-step verification on the computer with X-notifier installed.)
- I have tried troubleshooting steps in FAQ, namely, I have run Firefox with a clean profile and installed X-notifier only but with the same outcome. (I have tried main Outlook.com password and also the application password.) I have also created a log in this clean profile which I can send to an e-mail on request.
I have version 3.3.16 running on Firefox 28. Any ideas what else could help?

You should use your normal
You should use your normal password instead of application password.

I did, still not working

I have tried the original password again but, unfortunately, it didn't help. I am quite confused since I don't get what I could do wrong.
I have even removed the account from X-notifier and added it again but with no success. Once again, I have also followed troubleshooting steps in FAQ (http://xnotifier.tobwithu.com/dp/node/4) and have tried to use clean Firefox profile with only X-notifier installed (I added only the Hotmail account with the normal password) but I wasn't succesful.
By the way, in the meantime I have updated Firefox to version 29.
I have sent you the log from the clean profile if it would be of any help. Any other ideas what I could try?
