Can't import XN file to recover my X-not' settings

Hi, there!
I've had some sort of a trouble wth Firefox and had to restore my system (Win7 32).
My Firefox came back but totally reset. So I'm having back all my addons. Time came to install Xnotifier back, latest version. Done.
But when I do right-click on the icon in the addon bar of Firefox, "options" or "help"... nothing works. Xnotifier stays mute
I wanted to import my previous XN file to recover my accounts and settings.
May you please help me?

Thanks and enjoy 2013' last days!

Getting into the options panel using Firefox addons panel  doesn't help.
Can't add script (they never add), can't create account, can't import nor export, even can't quit.. only by clicking X on upper right corner... Hope this helps to define the trouble I'm facing here.
Thanks!

Maybe X-Notifier didn't install well... you could uninstall it (deleting user data), clear cache/cookies, restart browser, and reinstall X-Notifier.  Have  you used a master password with Firefox?

Hi!
Thanks a lot for your concern (sorry if this doesn't sound english but... I'm French and my school years are faaaaaaaaaaaar back from me).
Well, yes, I tried to uninstall and re-install again.  Twice. First time, I saw the "delete user data" little window twice. Second time, it appeared three times (I'm sure it's some kind of clue of what's happening here).
I will do now as you wrote it and come back to tell you if it worked. I wish it would (good english?)    ^^

By the way, because I'm not sure XN really deletes its "user data", do you know where this "user data" is saved... just to be able to delete it manually if XN doesn't do.   Thank you again!

Hi!

Well, didn't work.
Uninstalled via Firefox addons panel ("user data" appeared 4 times!!!). Shut FF down. Erased cache and all cookies using CCleaner, got FF on, installed XN.
Using small icon in FF Addons bar, can't open options nor help... only can activate or desactivate... and open lateral bar (sorry, all words are in French so I can't be sure to give you the right words). Using the addon panel, I can access the options but can't do NO-THING there! Can't add scripts because they never add (I have all the scripts I need saved into a directory), can't search for scripts using the link... can't create account and obviously can't add XN file. Trying to do so, XN opens the search window and I can go to the directory where my XN files are. I select the one I need, XN asks for the password. Once written, the window disapears but nothing got added. Can't even use OK, Cancel nor Help buttons ...

Or Firefox is bad (I'm not facing any problem except XN) or some old XN settings or something like that remains and bugg me.

Do you have any idea, please?

Thanks again!   :)

EDIT: tried to uninstall ("clear settings" appreared 5 times now!!!! Remember  "clear setting" appears each time more!!!! so i guess XN never gets uninstalled properly), inactivate all other addons, restart FF, install XN, restart FF (with all addons inactivated expect XN), enter XN options via addons panel but.... same damn thing.
Sorry again for my bad english... hope you can help me.

Well... I was unable to find any solution, even after reinitializing FF. So I uninstalled it, erased all the "profiles" stuff and got a new Firefox installation. Taking time to recover, step by step, my previous configuration but now, XN works perfectly as far as the XN fiole importation worked OK.
Thanks anyway for your help!
Happy 2014!

Glad you got it fixed.  Sounds like that's what you needed to do though... because of the odd behavior of the add-on (asking five times to delete user data!).

Bonne année! :)  (I had four years of French language in high school... but that was many years (decades) ago!)
