IMAP stopped checking
since a few days my IMAP email is in red status "not checked". It had been working fine for a long time. I can log in to my email in web interface. I have deleted and re-added the account to x-notifier and still doesn't work.
any ideas?

Have you checked with the server people to see if they've changed anything for IMAP access? like port number... or disabled it?
There is also an Outlook Web App script.
Otherwise, perhaps tobwithu can help.

nothing has been changed server side. the only difference that I can think of is that I deleted a folder from my inbox. I checked x-notifier's debug log and it is still asking the server for that non existent folder. maybe that's the problem...

Folder
Seems an odd bug, but if that's all it is... you might recreate just the folder and see if it starts working.

too much personal info in the log. If there is a certain portion of the log that I can copy paste, I'd happily do.
