X-notifier email check logs me out of Yahoo messenger on my Blackberry

Hi,

I use yahoo messenger on my Blackberry and I'm often getting signed out 'because you signed on on a different computer or device'.

I've tracked this to the email check on my Yahoo account performed by X-notifier. It doesn't happen every time, but will sign me out most times. Is there a way to have X-notifier check my yahoo mail for new messages without signing me out of Yahoo messenger on my phone?

Perhaps you can use POP3 or IMAP script for X-Notifier to check Yahoo on your computer?

This may require a paid Yahoo account (to use POP3/IMAP access). However...

In the past, for a free Yahoo account to use POP3/IMAP (in the U.S.), the trick was to set the default country setting of Yahoo account to Asian or European country... at least, that's what I did and it worked.  I don't know if that's still necessary... there's a note on Wikipedia about using the webmail access to your free account and going to account options to enable POP3 access... with the '2012 release' (the "New Yahoo! Yahoo has terminated the previous Classic interface.

I'm not sure if this will work.
Please try this and tell me the result.

Open yahoo mail in your browser, Find messanger in left menu and select 'Sign Out of Messenger'.
