KeePass+PassIFox vs. X-notifier problem

Hey, I want to take the opportunity to congratulate the dev, I've been using this app since a long time ago, and it never let me down, it's hands down the best app for mail checking. Unfortunately, I had my first problem since the last update, and I can't seem to get x-notifier work along Passifox, because every time I open Firefox, my KeePass justs keeps asking me that x-notifier is trying to connect to my passwords database, and every time it writes a new entry for a password, and when I go to options to delete all the (dummy mail accounts?) that are stored by default in x-notifier, it restarts with the double of those kind of accounts, they don't have any info, they are just accounts with 1 character for a password and no name. What's going on?, are these 2 addons totally incompatible?. I'm trying to play with the settings but it's not working.

The XN-forums and Scripts accounts are included by default with every install of X-Notifier along with the other default webmail scripts, like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.  You can change the 'dummy' accounts to your personal login for the forums and scripts-checking...  or use the scripts in the drop-down Scripts list ...to create new personal accounts to the forums and script checking... but the next install/update of X-Notifier will recreate the 'dummy' accounts... so... I just set up my personal forum and script checking account and forget about the 'dummies' (they are unchecked/disabled by default). Ignore them and leave them unchecked, they're not used.

Otherwise, I'd say you'd have to find a way to make Passifox/KeePass ignore X-Notifier... I expect X-Notifier needs access to passwords that it saves.   I don't know if it would help, but perhaps you could tell X-Notifier to not use Firefox's cookie manager... by typing:  about:config  ...in Firefox, and setting extensions.xnotifier.saveCookies to false ...but I don't know if that would help with password access/usage.

Thanks RpD for your fast reply. I changed the cookies settings to false just like that, and I added a couple of my mail accounts, but then I add some more and it's a mess, somehow x-notifier creates several accounts with my mails of EVERY type of account (Daum, Yahoo, AOL, etc), and they aren't even from that domain, if I add a Hotmail for example. xnotifier creates a yahoo, a daum, an aol account with that name, but not a hotmail one :S, so the list just keeps expanding with a bunch of accounts that I don't have. And that's kinda my main problem with this version, the older versions did came with 2 default "accounts", XN-forums and XN-script, but I deleted them and added my mails with no problem, but now this version that also adds, Script, POP3 and others. I will post this problem too with the devs of PassIFox, thanks again for the tips though.

If it were my problem... I think I would disable all the other addons, and uninstall X-Notifier, restart the browser, and reinstall X-Notifier... because it seems like something is corrupted.  See if X-Notifier works fine by itself, then slowly enable the other add-ons.  It just shouldn't make multiple accounts like you describe... X-Notifier does include multiple default scripts... but it shouldn't just make accounts sporadically.   If X-Notifier got corrupted, PassiFox/KeePass may not have anything to do with it.

You're right, this is not a mail notifier problem, is a known issue with passifox:  https://github.com/pfn/passifox/issues/36, but apparently the dev never gave any resolution up this day, because this case is still open from 2 years ago. Seems that the real problem here is the fact of multiple login passwords at once. And the first guy is right, I deactivated Keepass+Passifox, and mail notifier was fine until I turned on passifox again. But I'm not an expert on code so I don't know for sure. Thanks once again.

Welcome.
I guess you can return X-Notifier cookie management to Firefox, if you want... by setting that (about:config) key back to 'true'.
