Not able to save settings after changing interval times

For some reason, I can't seem to save any of the settings after changing the mail check interval time. Clicking on "OK" or even hitting Enter doesn't make the option window go away. The only way to make it go away is to hit "CANCEL" or click the close "X" box on the upper right of the window.

If I change some other setting (like add/delete an account) and don't mess with any of the interval time, then I can click "OK" and close the option window like normal. Bug? Some setting in Firefox?

I just recently installed the Opera version and it seems to be working OK, but I use Firefox as my primary browser so I'd like to get this working properly. Thanks!!

Just an FYI... it's working fine for me with FF 21.0 and X-Notifier 3.3.2, which would seem to indicate a glitch in your installation. I would export/save accounts, then re-install X-Notifier.

Thanks for the rely RpD...that's actually the first thing that I did. I uninstalled XN and then restarted FF and then reinstalled it but the problem still exists. Maybe the account file is corrupt and import/export doesn't fix it?? I'd hate to have to re-enter all the emails again...

It's possible... simple to test.

If you have a good export, just uninstall X-N, restart browser, re-install X-N... and enter a couple/few accounts from scratch, and see if they work as they should.  Then you could import and see if it breaks it.

RpD, ah, you're a saint! So I did exactly what you said to do. Upon the new install, I put in a few emails and tested it. That went well so then I imported the rest and now it works fine! Odd issue but at least it's solved...thanks!!!!

I want to change interval time without uninstalling & reinstalling of FF 22.0.  I also want X-NOTIFIER icon in the status-bar. I am doing both the items by OPTION mode but when I exit FF, settings are not saved. SO PLEASE GUIDE HOW TO SAVE THESE SETTINGS PERMANENTLY BY OPENING 'CONFIG'

Are you running any cookie/cache cleaning 'security' software?
Is FF set to clear everything upon exit?

Perhaps a conflict with another Firefox add-on?

If you use X-Notifier 'Options' to set your check interval (either the general 'default', or account specific interval), and checkmark 'Show statusbar icon', you should be able to find/check them in Firefox config.
(Note:  "statusbar" is now called "add-on bar" in newer versions of firefox.)

In the Firefox address bar, type:  about:config

Then in the search box, type:  notifier

Scroll down the resulting list for your accounts, and look for the account lines ending in:  .interval    (with value/#, in minutes)
For the 'default interval', look for:  extensions.xnotifier.updateInterval      (with value/#, in minutes)

For the status/add-on bar icon, look for:  extensions.xnotifier.showStatusbarIcon    ("true" to show the icon)

If you find them in about:config settings as you set them in X-Notifier 'Options'.... then I'd say X-Notifier is working fine, and investigate what else prevents saving, or clears, the settings when Firefox exits... or, afterward.

A conflict, or security setting, or... also, you can look at the Firefox help on the subject...

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save

Last resort (or first??)... create a new user profile (Run the command "firefox.exe -p") and install X-Notifier in the new profile, create one email account, and test if you can save changes to Options/settings from within that new profile.  If it works... then there's possibly something broken/conflicting in your usual user profile.

(@CFB... from his post, I think he knows how to use statusbar settings in X-Notifier 'Options'... already.  But his changes to Options are not saving.)

@RpD, Sometime addon alike Status-4-Evar to break the "glitch" on Status-bar who know. Same idea you suggest New Profile and add one account from scratch, if it break the "glitch". Beside that, I love Status-4-Evar with RightBar, no problem with my Macintosh, FF 22 and XN334b2.

I've never had a glitch with add-on bar.
I don't need an add-on to duplicate existing functionality, perhaps afa.surat doesn't either.
Maybe s/he does, whatever, but... The fewer add-ons, the better.

I'm taking a hiatus.
