Problem with "%" in password

Hi all,

I am using xn 3.4.4 with FF31 under Win7.

I am having trouble with checking mails from an account where the password ends with the character "%". I tried both, using the character "%" and decoding it as "%25".

The log file says:
Wed Aug 27 2014 11:09:21 imap <user>|imap.x.y:993 302 A003 BAD expected end of data instead of "%"\r\n
Wed Aug 27 2014 10:54:20 imap <user>|imap.x.y:993 302 A002 BAD expected end of data instead of "%25"\r\n

Any advice on this except changing the pw?

Thanks,
Rigge

Please look at code for %

http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

That where I found... and try % ? (for %)

If not working, I hope Tobwithu able to help you.

Thanks, CFBancroft

Thanks! I tried already the html encoding of '%'. Replacing '%' with '%' led to the log entry:

302 A004 NO authentication failed

Please check if you can use '%' in your password with other IMAP client.

Sure, the password works with all other clients. I am using clients on my Linux OS and on Android. None has trouble with the trailing '%' in the pw.

Thanks,
