Warning: "Show statusbar icon" disappear in Firefox 29

If you want to keep X-Notifier Statusbar icon at bottom of Firefox?

Then do not upgrade to Firefox 29,

Stay with Firefox 28.

+++++++++++++

I have not play with

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

and X-Notifier.

I let you play with it and post what do you think...

+++++++++++++

I guess I will give up "Show statusbar icon",

but still good on "Show tab menu" no problem,

it same as other Safari, Chrome, and Opera.

++++++++++++

X-Notifier user who love Sidebar with X-N, Still no problem at all.

I am using right now with

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/rightbar/

I Love it,

All X-N on right side, and it still works fine with Firefox 29!

Thanks for reading and understanding, CFBancroft

In FF 29.x, they removed the Add-on Bar (also known as status bar)... and all the add-on icons are supposed to be moved to the combined "main" (navigation/add-ons) toolbar... between the Menu bar and the Bookmarks bar.

However... you can restore the Add-ons Bar if you restore the 'classic' theme... see the following Mozilla page...

Using portable version of FF so I will have to play with v29 before changing

CFBancroft's picture

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/versions/

look at Version 2014.04.27.21

I use this for long time and I can USE BOTH

Statusbar and Tab menu with X-notifier.

I did download recently, I find it out that ONLY PICK ONE, Statusbar or Tab menu.

If I remove status 4 evar, 'Status text' still work fine without status 4 evar.

I guess go back square one,
that I must live with it,
that I will NOT use status 4 ever
and MUST use Tab menu with X-notifier.

New FF 29 that cause more "roomy" on monitor
and more article/info on screen without statusbar,
that is "PLUS".

About the 'classic' theme, I decide not to bother with it.

I like to at least...try...to limit my addons, so I don't install any to put things back the way they were or on the right side or elsewhere.

I just use the X-Notifier icon in the main toolbar anyway, although I had it also showing in the add-on bar... I never used it.

Mozilla just wanted to streamline to compete with Google... notice how they have the 'three line' menu now, too.
It's a wonder that the 'three line' menu wasn't patented.
Maybe next version they'll right-justify everything, or put all the bars on the bottom, or have four vertical lines, or some other equally inane change... like putting pages in boring square 'live' tiles (á la Windows 8).
Well... at least we have a pop-up 'status' that shows us the actual addresses when we hover over links on a page.

Right now Firefox 39.0, it do not exist anymore.
(I do not know which version disappear.
Because I did not pay-attention.)

I guess that X-notifer no longer on Lower Right Side!

I do not want to play with Status-4-Evar at this point.

So I decide to move-on without Lower Right Side!
