Obviously posted this in wrong thread,it should have been in "x-notifier not working since FF45."
I too was experiencing problems since latest Firefox update to 45 with 3 gmail accounts, yahoo and GMX on Windows 7 Home and Proff., and also 3 Linux Distros. To put it mildly I probably use overkill in Firefox with 58 add ons and I have just spent the last 3 hours disabling and re-enabling the add ons as I suspected at least one add on was perhaps causing my problems with X-Notifier.
I'm pleased to say I discovered MY Gmail and Yahoo accounts are now working properly with X-Notifier on Windows and PCLinuxOS,still to check the other 2 distros.
My problem with Gmail seems to have been the Privacy Badger Add On and Yahoo seems to be the Masking Agent Add On
By disabling both these Add Ons Gmail and Yahoo both function correctly with X-Notifier FOR ME. I think I should be able to re-enable privacy Badger by adjusting some settings and still have Gmail working.
I have used X-Notifier for a good few years now and I believe it to be in the top five best Add Ons for Firefox.
"TOBEWITHYOU" seems to totally undeservedly come in for a lot of "flak;"he must have tons of patience to put up with some of the totally demeaning comments from some ungrateful posters on this forum whom I'll hazard a guess have never donated a dime for his excellent work and sorting out of problems.
Anyhow,"ToBeWithYou," I appreciate your efforts and hope you continue with your superb Add On. AS they say in my neck of the woods," keep your pecker up."
