Won't check Gmail accounts

Hi there

Today I noticed that X-Notifier (the latest version) didn't check any of my Gmail accounts in my FF 40.0.3. I tried reintroducing my Gmail account data but the problem persisted. I also wanted to email you a log file, but it was 0 bytes and it couldn't be attached!

Any help? :)

Hello, it's the same in Chromium.

I think that something was changing on gmail side. The strange thing is that one of my gmail account works and all the other fails

Hi,

also for me X-notifier stopped to check my accounts (2), but if i click on the account labels in X-notifier list I access correctly to the page.

I submitted my log

@John Space to create log you must enable it shift+clicking on help label and then recheck your accounts for unreaded mail. After that you can save the log

I'm having the same problem. It will check my default e-mail but none of my other e-mail addresses in Chrome. But it works in FireFox!

Same problem on Opera... need another fix :(

I also had only one account working in Chrome, but it recovered after re-install:

  1. Export your X-notifier accounts (Options)
  2. Remove the X-notifier extension from Chrome
  3. Restart Chrome
  4. Install X-notifier from the Chrome Webstore (new tab)
  5. Import your X-notifier accounts (Options)
  6. Save

@Spitt: Opera tends to behave the same as Chrome (same rendering engine Blink)

@Spitt:  You are write. The gmail script needs to get fixed for Opera.
With my tweak for the lightweigt BASIC HTML version of Gmail it works though (meaning the problem part of the script code does not get executed in that case). So you could use that for the time being.

Ah thank you so much. That script did it for me. I hated having to run Chrome just to get email notifications. Chrome has crashed on me too many times, causing me to lose all settings and bookmarks - resulting in a need to re-install. Opera just works - even though they are the same engine. Weird, I know.

The developer will eventually solve it, no doubt.
